INFORMATION

Below you will find basic information about the week's schedule, directions to campus, and a campus map.

The workshop runs from Monday, July 10th to Friday, July 14th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. Except for the first day, students should arrive by 9:45 am to be ready to play by 10:00 am. Students must make their own arrangements for transportation to and from the campus. If students are being dropped off, drivers may come straight onto campus--stopping at the gate is unnecessary (See Directions to Jazz Workshop). Students who drive are responsible for finding their own parking; parking is available on campus for $15 per day.

Students are responsible for bringing or buying their own lunch on campus. We will be walking to the HUB each afternoon. They have a large variety of lunch options.

Students should be mindful of their personal belongings at all times. This is a large university with people constantly coming and going, and we do not want any personal possessions to get lost in the shuffle. We can only provide overnight storage for drum kits and basses and amplifiers. All other instruments must be taken home each day.

The workshop is geared toward the maturity level of high school students, so we ask that all middle school students be aware that they are expected to act with the maturity and respect of their high school counterparts. This means being quiet and attentive during lectures and rehearsals.Students may want to bring a notebook and pen or pencil to take notes.
